1. Who is responsible for your data?
This website is managed by eLand, Lda, Portuguese legal person identification number (NIPC) 510214584, at Rua Carlos Charbel, 39A, Loja, Cacém, Portugal. eLand, Lda is responsible for the personal data processed to operate this website and handle enquiries about the acquisition of WoodBusiness.com.
You can contact us about your data through the Contact & Privacy form or by writing to the postal address above. Please identify your message as a privacy request. You do not need to submit a purchase offer to exercise your data protection rights.
2. What information do we collect?
When you submit an offer, we collect your full name, company or trading name, email address, offer amount in US dollars and any message you choose to provide. We also collect your acknowledgement of the Terms & Conditions and this Privacy Policy, the document versions included with the form and the submission time recorded by our form provider.
For general questions or privacy requests, we collect the contact information and message you provide.
Technical information, such as IP address, browser information, request time and security events, may be processed to deliver and protect the website and its forms. We also use essential storage to remember your privacy settings and prevent repeat automatic playback of the introduction video.
Please do not submit payment card details, identity documents, passwords, sensitive personal information or information about other people that is not needed for your enquiry. This website does not accept payments.
3. Why do we use your information?
We use enquiry information to assess and respond to your offer, communicate with you and manage negotiations. Where you act for a company, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling relevant business enquiries and maintaining accurate negotiation records. Where you are personally the prospective contracting party, we may process information necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We use necessary technical information to operate the service and prevent fraud, spam and misuse, based on our legitimate interest in maintaining a secure website. We process information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, respond to data protection requests or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
The required checkbox records that you have read and understood the linked documents. It is not consent to advertising. We do not use this form to subscribe you to a newsletter or unrelated marketing.
4. Is providing information required?
The fields marked as required in the offer form are needed to assess your proposal and reply to you.
Without them, we cannot process an offer through that form. The message field is optional. You can browse the website without submitting an offer and use the separate Contact & Privacy form for other matters.
5. Who may receive your information?
Access is limited to authorised people handling this website, enquiries and related administration. Netlify provides website hosting and receives and stores form submissions through Netlify Forms. Authorised people can access submissions in our private Netlify administration area. Email notifications may also deliver a copy to our private mailbox, hosted on our own servers. Netlify uses automated spam filtering, including Akismet, to help protect the forms. Technical service providers may process information where necessary to maintain and secure these systems.
Where a transaction progresses, relevant information may be shared with the identified seller, professional advisers, a registrar and an agreed payment or escrow provider, only as necessary for that transaction or a legal obligation. We will identify the parties and arrangements before proceeding. We may disclose information to competent authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal data or provide it for third-party advertising. The domain sale does not include enquiry records, customer data or email archives.
6. Is data processed outside the European Economic Area?
Our hosting infrastructure may involve processing outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by an applicable adequacy decision, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where valid and applicable, or by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with additional measures where needed.
You can use the Contact & Privacy form to request information about the safeguards relevant to your data and how to obtain a copy.
7. How long do we keep your information?
Enquiries that do not result in a transaction are normally deleted within 12 months of the last meaningful exchange. General contact records are normally deleted within 12 months after the matter is resolved. These periods apply to the form records in our Netlify account and to copies in our mailbox or exports under our control.
Records relating to a completed transaction, legal obligations or a dispute are kept for the applicable statutory period or for as long as necessary to establish, exercise or defend the relevant legal rights.
Routine security logs under our direct control are kept for up to 30 days, unless a specific incident requires longer retention. Infrastructure records are kept according to the service’s operational and security requirements, taking account of the record type, incident needs and contractual retention limits.
Deleted data may remain in restricted eLand backup copies until they are overwritten, normally within 90 days.
The privacy-settings cookie expires after no more than 180 days. You may remove it earlier through your browser or reset the privacy notice through Cookie settings.
8. What are your rights?
Subject to the conditions set out in applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability where it applies. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your particular situation.
Where any processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal. We do not currently use optional cookies or marketing consent on this website.
To exercise your rights, use the Contact & Privacy form or write to eLand, Lda at the address in section 1.
We may request proportionate information to verify your identity. We will respond without undue delay, normally within one month. Where the law permits an extension because of the complexity or number of requests, we will explain the extension within that first month.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), or with another competent data protection authority. The CNPD website provides a complaints form and information about your rights.
9. Cookies and similar storage
This website uses essential storage only. The first-party cookie wb_privacy_preferences, managed by eLand, remembers your acknowledgement of the privacy notice and the settings version for up to 180 days. It does not contain your offer, contact details or an advertising identifier.
The local-storage entry wb_intro_autoplay_seen records only whether this browser has already visited the page with the introduction video. It prevents automatic playback on later visits. It contains no identity, contact details, offer or advertising identifier and is not sent to our servers. It remains in this browser until you clear the site data. If local storage is unavailable, playback remains manual.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our promotional video, images and fonts are served as part of this website rather than through embedded advertising or social-media services. You can open Cookie settings at any time from the footer.
10. Security and automated decisions
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including encrypted connections and restricted access. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Offers are reviewed by people. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. Technical anti-spam checks may reject suspicious submissions; please try the Contact & Privacy form if a legitimate enquiry cannot be submitted.
11. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, our processing activities or applicable requirements. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Where a change requires new information or consent, we will provide it before the relevant new processing begins.
